About

I'm Carlos Mendoza. I build software, publish books, and think critically about the tools I use.

Based in Mexico City. Running VortexLabs for author services and other projects.

My development work reflects the same sensibility: clean systems over clever hacks, sustainable code over heroics, AI as tool over AI as religion. I build what works, iterate when it doesn't, and prefer clarity to cleverness.

When I'm not shipping code, I'm thinking about the next experiment. Currently exploring agent-based content pipelines.
